SotaVenture, LLC has reached an agreement with Great River International, Ltd. to coordinate their business development and marketing needs for economic development in the Jo Daviess and Carroll counties of Northwest Illinois.

Wisconsin based SotaVenture is a full service business development, marketing and interactive advertising agency focused on economic development, tourism branding and high-image brand development.

SotaVenture will partner with Great River International to promote economic growth throughout the area and showcase the new Upper Mississippi River International Port District as an attractive area and good business environment.

Great River International executive director Marty Mulcahey said possibilities are endless for the district. “Typically, port authorities are able to accomplish many tasks, including owning land, setting fees, levying taxes and operating shipping terminals, airports, railroads and irrigation facilities.”

SotaVenture CEO Zack Below said “the two companies will work together on encouraging and facilitating economic growth" in the newly established district.
The end result will "strengthen the position of northwest Illinois to create jobs and economic development, fortify local economies, enhance present business opportunities and improve the overall quality of life for residents of the area,” added Mulcahey.
